HSC and Equivalent Exam Results Published – Pass Rate 58.83%

The results of the 2025 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations have been published. The average pass rate across the nine general education boards, Madrasah Board, and Technical Board stands at 58.83%. This marks a drop of 18.95 percentage points compared to last year.

A total of 39,097 students achieved a GPA-5 (the highest grade).

In comparison, the average pass rate in 2024 was 77.78%, and in 2023, it was 78.64%.


Pass Rates by Education Board

  • Dhaka Board: 64.62%

  • Rajshahi Board: 59.40%

  • Comilla Board: 48.86%

  • Jessore Board: 50.20%

  • Chittagong Board: 52.57%

  • Barishal Board: 62.57%

  • Sylhet Board: 51.86%

  • Dinajpur Board: 57.49%

  • Mymensingh Board: 51.54%

For the other boards:

  • Technical Education Board: 62.67%

  • Madrasah Education Board: 75.61%

All 11 education boards—Dhaka, Rajshahi, Comilla, Jessore, Chittagong, Barishal, Sylhet, Dinajpur, Mymensingh, Bangladesh Madrasah Board, and Bangladesh Technical Education Board—released their results simultaneously at 10:00 AM today (Thursday, October 16).


Exam Overview

According to the Ministry of Education, a total of 1,251,111 students registered for the 2025 HSC and equivalent exams under 11 boards. Among them, 618,015 were male and 633,096 were female. The exams were held at 2,797 centers nationwide.

However, about 27,000 students did not participate in the exams. This year’s results were prepared based on the “real assessment” policy, similar to the one used for the SSC results published in July.

There was no formal ceremony for the publication of results this year.


How to Check HSC Results (General Boards)

Students under the nine general education boards can check their results in the following ways:

Online:

Visit 👉 www.educationboardresults.gov.bd

Enter your Roll Number and Registration Number to view individual results.

By SMS:

Go to the mobile phone’s message option and type:

HSC [First Three Letters of Board] [Roll Number] 2025

Then send it to 16222.

Example: HSC DHA 123456 2025 → send to 16222.


How to Check Alim Results (Madrasah Board)

Students under the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board can check their Alim Exam 2025 results both online and via SMS.

Online:

Go to 👉 www.bmeb.gov.bd

Click on the “Online Service-1” corner, then select “Alim Exam 2025” to view results by district or center.

Alternatively, students can also check personal results from 👉 www.educationboardresults.gov.bd using their roll and registration numbers.

By SMS:

To pre-register for result notifications, type:

ALIM MAD [Roll Number] 2025

and send to 16222.

Example: ALIM MAD 123456 2025 → send to 16222.

Students who pre-register will receive their results automatically after publication.

Institutional Results:

Institutions can view their results at 👉 https://eboardresults.com/v2/home

Select “Institution Result”, then choose the board and enter the EIIN (Educational Institute Identification Number) to download the full result sheet.


How to Check Technical Board Results

Students under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board can access their HSC (Vocational) and Dakhil (Vocational) results through institutions or online.

Option 1 – By Institution:

Visit 👉 www.bteb.gov.bd

Click on “Result Corner”, then enter the Institution ID or Code to download the result sheet.

Option 2 – Online Individual Result:

Visit 👉 www.bteb.gov.bd or 👉 www.educationboardresults.gov.bd

Enter your Roll and Registration Number to download your individual grade-based transcript.

Option 3 – By SMS:

Type the following message:

HSC TEC [Roll Number] 2025

and send it to 16222.

Example: HSC TEC 123456 2025 → send to 16222.
